I’m a recent graduate from The University of Texas at Austin with a BA in Rhetoric and Writing and a minor in Journalism and Media. In my college years, I worked as the Life & Arts Editor at The Daily Texan, the most-awarded college newspaper in the country. I also worked as a writing consultant at the University Writing Center and counseled students on anything and everything from med school personal statements, scholarship applications, and class assignments.

I didn’t realize it while it was happening, but I took on an agenda with all my writing in university. In a Native American Literature class, I wrote about the “Final Girl” trope in horror; in a Rhetoric class, I wrote about Lady Gaga’s performance at the 2009 VMAs and what it says about how female celebrities are treated by tabloid culture; and, in my final year of college, I completed an honors thesis on YouTube apology videos. I’ve always been fascinated with how the internet and social media impacts our lives and how we interact with one another. These days, I continue to encourage people to confront how they conduct themselves on the internet over on my Substack. I also review a movie or two if I feel so inclined. I’m just a girl with a Regal Unlimited subscription after all.
